The CAMCO 2263 is a screw-in replacement water heater element rated at 3000 watts and 240 volts. Designed as a high watt density element at 150 watts per square inch, it is engineered for residential storage-tank water heaters and is installed by licensed plumbers or qualified service technicians. The element threads directly into the tank flange and heats water through resistive heat transfer. A gasket is included for a watertight seal, and detailed installation instructions are included with the unit. The 2263 is UL Listed and carries a minimum tank diameter requirement of 12 inches.
This element is suited for residential electric water heater service where the existing screw-in element needs replacement due to burnout, scale buildup, or failure. The high watt density design delivers efficient heat output in standard residential storage tank configurations. It fits most models from a broad range of manufacturers including American, AO Smith, Bradford White, Craftmaster, General Electric, GS Wood, Kenmore, Lochinvar, Maytag, MorFlo, Reliance, Rheem, Richmond, Ruud, Sears, State, and Whirlpool water heaters.
