The CAMBRIDGE RESOURCES fmbse90-12 is a 1/2 inch black malleable iron 90-degree street elbow designed for use in gas distribution, compressed air, and industrial piping systems. This fitting connects directly inline without requiring a separate nipple on one end, reducing the number of components in a tight installation. It is rated at a maximum of 300 psi at 150 degrees F and 150 psi at 300 degrees F, making it suitable for demanding pressure and temperature conditions. UL and FM listed, it meets ASME standards. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and gas technicians are the primary installers.
The fmbse90-12 is used in residential and light commercial piping applications where a 90-degree directional change is needed in a 1/2 inch black iron line. Common uses include natural gas supply lines, propane distribution piping, and compressed air networks. The street elbow configuration is especially useful in close-quarters installations where space between fittings is limited. It is sold individually and suits both new construction and service replacement work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 1/2 inch black iron piping systems in gas, compressed air, and industrial fluid applications where UL and FM listed fittings are required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or gas technician in accordance with applicable local codes and IFGC or IPC requirements. Shut off and bleed the gas or air supply completely before removing or installing any fitting. Apply listed pipe thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for the specific service medium to all threaded connections. Do not over-tighten threaded connections; hand-snug plus the appropriate number of turns as guided by fitting size and thread engagement is sufficient to achieve a leak-free joint.
