The CAMBRIDGE-LEE INDUSTRIES 061412200B is a pre-insulated copper line set designed for connecting the indoor and outdoor units of split-type HVAC systems. It ships at 20 feet in length and features a 3/8-inch liquid line and a 7/8-inch suction line. The suction line insulation measures 3/4 inch thick and is constructed from black polyethylene with a hard-shell exterior that resists tearing during pull-through installation. The insulation is UV resistant and rated for use with R-410A refrigerant. Footage markings appear every foot along the line, making field measurement straightforward. Both ends are plain cut, ready for field flaring or brazing by a licensed HVAC technician.
This line set is suited for residential and light commercial applications including ductless mini-split systems, VRF commercial systems, and conventional split-system air conditioners and heat pumps. The rugged hard-shell polyethylene jacket holds up to rough-in conditions where the line set must be routed through walls, sleeves, or conduit. The anti-tear exterior reduces the likelihood of insulation damage during the pull-through process, which is a common source of field callbacks on standard foam-wrapped sets. ASTM E84 and C1427 flammability standards are met, and the copper tubing conforms to ASTM B743 and B88 specifications.
Rated for use with ductless mini-split systems, VRF commercial systems, and split-system air conditioners and heat pumps operating on R-410A refrigerant.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician holding an EPA Section 608 certification. Shut down system power at the disconnect and recover any residual refrigerant before disturbing existing line sets. Plain ends require field flaring or silver-alloy brazing per local mechanical code; inspect cut ends for burrs before forming connections. Secure and support the line set at intervals per applicable mechanical codes to prevent vibration wear on the insulation jacket.
