The CAMBRIDGE-LEE INDUSTRIES 061208400B is a pre-insulated copper refrigerant line set designed for split-system and ductless mini-split installations. It ships as a matched pair: a 3/8 inch liquid line and a 3/4 inch suction line, both running 40 feet in length. The suction line is wrapped in 1/2 inch black polyethylene hard-shell insulation rated for UV exposure and approved for use with R-410A refrigerant systems. Plain-end connections on both lines allow field flaring or brazing to suit the installer's preferred termination method. Licensed HVAC technicians are the primary installers for this product.
This line set is engineered for ductless mini-split systems, VRF commercial systems, split-system air conditioners, and heat pumps. The 40-foot run is a common length for residential and light-commercial applications where the outdoor condensing unit is located one or two stories away from the indoor air handler. The rugged, anti-tear exterior simplifies routing through walls, chases, or line-set covers without damaging the insulation jacket. Footage markings printed every foot on the insulation assist with accurate trimming and documentation during installation.
Suitable for ductless mini-split systems, VRF commercial systems, split-system air conditioners, and split-system heat pumps per supplier application data. Meets ASTM E84/C1427 and UL standards and material specification ASTM B743/B88.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with applicable mechanical codes and the equipment manufacturer's instructions. Recover or isolate all refrigerant before disconnecting any existing line set, and de-energize the system at the disconnect before beginning work. Avoid sharp bends that could kink the copper tubing; use a tubing bender appropriate for the line diameters. Protect plain ends from contamination with caps or tape until final connection is made.
