The CAMBRIDGE-LEE INDUSTRIES 061008500B is a pre-insulated copper line set designed for connecting the indoor and outdoor units of split-system and ductless mini-split HVAC systems. It ships in a 50-foot length with a 3/8-inch liquid line and a 5/8-inch suction line, both terminated with plain ends for field flaring or brazing. The suction line is wrapped in 1/2-inch black polyethylene hard-shell insulation rated for UV exposure and approved for use with R-410A refrigerant. Insulation is marked every foot for quick measurement during rough-in. Licensed HVAC technicians handle the installation of this component in residential and light commercial applications.
This line set is suitable for ductless mini-split systems, VRF commercial systems, and conventional split-system air conditioners and heat pumps. The rugged, anti-tear exterior reduces the risk of insulation damage during the pull-through process in wall chases, conduit, or tight building cavities. Plain-end terminations allow the installer to cut to the required length and prepare connections on site using standard flaring or brazing methods. The material meets ASTM B743 and B88 specifications for ACR copper tubing.
Designed for use with ductless mini-split systems, VRF commercial systems, and split-system air conditioners and heat pumps using R-410A refrigerant. Plain-end terminations are compatible with standard ACR flaring and brazing procedures.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician holding an EPA Section 608 refrigerant handling certification. Confirm the system is recovered and de-pressurized before cutting or connecting any refrigerant lines. Plain ends require proper field flaring or brazing per the equipment manufacturer's instructions and applicable mechanical codes. Insulation joints and cut ends should be sealed with compatible foam tape or insulation wrap to prevent condensation and UV degradation after installation.
