The CALCULATED INDUSTRIES 4088 is a dedicated machinist calculator built for metalworking and machining professionals who need fast, accurate solutions at the workbench or on the shop floor. Powered by a single 3-volt CR2025 battery, the 4088 delivers 57 built-in functions across a 12-digit, 2-line LCD display. The display measures 2.5 inches wide by 0.813 inches tall, giving machinists a clear read of both input and result simultaneously. At 8.25 inches long, 6 inches wide, and 1.25 inches thick, it is sized for handheld use and ships with a protective Armadillo Gear case for job-site durability. Licensed machinists, CNC operators, and tool-and-die tradespeople will find the purpose-built function set a significant time-saver over general-purpose calculators.
The 4088 is designed for use in machine shops, manufacturing facilities, and fabrication environments where quick reference to thread data, bolt patterns, and right-triangle geometry is a daily requirement. Its bolt-circle pattern and right-triangle solution functions handle common layout tasks without requiring separate software or conversion tables. The built-in thread chart look-ups are organized to ANSI/ASME B1.1-2003 and ANSI/ASME B1.13M-2005 standards, covering unified inch and metric thread series. Step-saving drill functions reduce the number of keystrokes needed for common machining calculations, making it practical during active setups.
Designed as a standalone handheld machinist calculator for use in metalworking, CNC, fabrication, and tool-and-die applications requiring ANSI/ASME inch and metric thread standard references.
No installation is required for this handheld calculator. Insert the included CR2025 3-volt battery per the polarity markings in the battery compartment before first use. Keep the unit in the included Armadillo Gear case when not in use to protect the display and keypad from shop debris and coolant exposure. Replace the battery when the low-battery indicator appears to maintain calculation accuracy.
