The CADET T522-A is a double-pole, wall-mount mechanical thermostat designed for line-voltage control of 120, 208, and 240 volt electric baseboard heaters and wall heaters. Rated at 22 amps, it handles up to 5,280 watts at 240 volts or 2,640 watts at 120 volts. The non-programmable, dial-style mechanical design gives technicians and installers a straightforward, reliable option in residential and light-commercial electric heating applications. The almond finish blends with standard wall plates. Installation requires a licensed electrician or qualified heating contractor working with line-voltage wiring.
This thermostat is suited for residential electric heating systems where a simple, dependable line-voltage controller is specified. It is configured as a double-pole (4-wire) unit, making it appropriate for applications requiring full line interruption on both conductors. The setpoint range of 50 degrees F to 90 degrees F covers typical comfort heating zones. It is wall-mounted and designed to replace most existing line-voltage wall-mount thermostats in baseboard and wall heater installations.
Designed to replace most line-voltage wall-mounted thermostats used with 120, 208, or 240 volt electric baseboard heaters and wall heaters in residential and light-commercial applications.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. Power to the circuit must be shut off at the breaker panel and verified de-energized with a meter before any wiring work begins. Confirm pole configuration and wire count at the existing thermostat location before ordering to ensure the double-pole (4-wire) version matches the installation. Do not install on low-voltage or thermostat-wire systems.
