The C2G CG03982 is a 4-foot Cat6 snagless UTP (unshielded twisted pair) patch cable designed for structured cabling installations in commercial and residential environments. Cat6 cabling supports Gigabit Ethernet and is backward compatible with Cat5e and Cat5 infrastructure. The molded snagless boot protects the RJ45 locking tab during installation and removal, reducing connector damage in high-density patch panel environments. Electricians and low-voltage cabling technicians use this cable to terminate equipment connections at patch panels, switches, routers, and wall jacks.
This patch cable is suited for data center patching, server room connections, office network drops, and AV or security system data runs. At 4 feet in length, it is commonly used for short equipment-to-switch runs and patch panel terminations. The unshielded construction is appropriate for standard indoor structured cabling installations where EMI interference is not a primary concern.
Designed as a standard Cat6 patch cable compatible with Cat6, Cat5e, and Cat5 Ethernet infrastructure including patch panels, network switches, routers, and RJ45 wall jacks.
This cable is installed by licensed electricians or low-voltage cabling technicians following TIA-568 structured cabling standards. No tools are required for termination as both ends are factory-terminated with RJ45 connectors. Power down or disconnect active network equipment before swapping patch cables in live environments to avoid unintended network disruption. Do not exceed the cable bend radius minimum during routing to maintain signal integrity.
