The C.H. HANSON 26688 is a 36-piece low stress round face-dot stamp set designed for permanent marking on metal and other hard surfaces. Each stamp in the set uses a round face-dot configuration that reduces stress fractures in hardened workpieces during impact marking. The set includes alphabets, numbers, and symbols, making it a complete solution for part identification, traceability marking, and serial number stamping. Stamps are manufactured from steel with a 1/2-inch shank diameter and a 3-inch working length. Character size is 1/4 inch. The set weighs 9.15 pounds and stores in an included plastic container.
This stamp set is suited for industrial and trade applications where permanent, legible marks are required on metal components, tooling, fixtures, or fabricated parts. The low stress design makes it appropriate for use on hardened steels and alloys where conventional stamps risk surface cracking. Machinists, fabricators, maintenance technicians, and quality control personnel commonly use sets of this type for part serialization and traceability compliance in shop and field environments.
Designed as an OEM-style stamp set for general metal marking applications requiring low stress impression stamps with a 1/2-inch shank diameter.
Stamp sets of this type are used by machinists, fabricators, and maintenance trades. Secure the workpiece firmly before striking to produce a clean, consistent impression. Use a hammer appropriate to the stamp shank size and material hardness. Inspect stamps regularly for mushrooming on the strike end and dress or replace as needed to prevent injury.
