The C.H. HANSON 21151R is a machine-made individual steel stamp for the letter R, sized at 3/8 inches (9.5 mm) character height. It is used to impress permanent, legible characters into metal, wood, plastic, and other hard surfaces. The stamp body measures 3.13 inches in length with a 0.56-inch square cross-section, giving techs and machinists a solid grip during impact. Constructed from hardened steel, this stamp delivers consistent, clean impressions over repeated strikes. It is sold individually, making it a practical replacement or addition to an existing stamp set.
This stamp is suited for maintenance shops, fabrication facilities, part-marking operations, and field service work where permanent identification is required. Common applications include stamping serial numbers, part IDs, and inspection marks on metal components, pipe, structural steel, and tooling. Machinists, maintenance technicians, and metalworkers are the primary users. The compact single-character format allows for flexible custom arrangements in any sequence or font line.
Designed as an individual replacement stamp compatible with standard hand-stamp sets using 3/8-inch character sizing. Suitable for use on steel, aluminum, brass, plastic, and similar hard materials.
Steel stamps are driven with a ball-peen or dead-blow hammer on a firm, stable surface. Secure the workpiece before striking to prevent movement and ensure a clean impression. Eye protection should be worn during use to guard against metal chips or stamp bounce. Do not strike the stamp at an angle, as this can distort the character impression and damage the stamp face.
