The C.H. HANSON 21151P is a machine-made individual steel stamp for the letter P, sized at 3/8 inch (9.5 mm) character height. Built from hardened steel, this stamp is designed for permanent character marking on metal, wood, plastic, and similar industrial surfaces. It is used with a hammer to drive a clean, legible impression into the workpiece. The compact body measures 3.13 inches in length with a 0.56-inch by 0.56-inch shank cross-section, making it easy to handle during single-character or sequential marking operations. At 0.26 pounds, it is lightweight enough for extended use without fatigue.
This stamp is suited for tradespeople, machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians who need to mark parts, tools, fixtures, or equipment with permanent identifiers. It is commonly used in manufacturing, HVAC fabrication shops, plumbing supply operations, and general metal trades for part numbering, serialization, and job-site identification. The individual stamp format allows technicians to build custom character sets by purchasing only the letters they need.
Designed for use as an individual replacement or supplemental stamp compatible with standard hand-stamp sets and holders that accept 3/8-inch character stamps.
Steel stamps are driven by hand with a ball-peen or cross-peen hammer on a solid, stable work surface. Secure the workpiece to prevent movement before striking. Use appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, when performing impact marking operations. Inspect the stamp face before use to ensure the character surface is clean and free of debris that could distort the impression.
