The C.H. HANSON 20951P is a machine-made individual steel stamp designed to mark the letter P into metal, wood, plastic, and similar surfaces. Built from hardened steel, this stamp delivers clean, consistent impressions in production, fabrication, and quality-control workflows. The character size is 3/16 inch (4.8 mm), making it suitable for part marking, traceability labeling, and permanent identification tasks. At 0.1 pounds, the stamp is lightweight and easy to handle for repetitive use. It is sold individually, allowing technicians and machinists to replace or supplement a set one character at a time.
This stamp is used across metal fabrication shops, maintenance departments, tool cribs, and light manufacturing environments. Machinists, millwrights, and maintenance technicians reach for individual steel stamps when a full set is not required or when a single stamp in a set needs replacement. The 20951P fits standard stamp holder sets and is appropriate for both bench and field marking work on ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Designed as an individual replacement stamp compatible with standard 3/16 inch steel stamp sets used in metal fabrication, maintenance, and marking applications.
Steel stamps are struck with a ball-peen or dead-blow hammer on a solid backing surface such as a steel plate or anvil block. Secure the workpiece before stamping to prevent movement and ensure a clean impression. Eye protection should be worn during use. Do not strike the stamp at an angle, as this can produce incomplete characters or damage the stamp face.
