The C.H. HANSON 208016 is a machine-made individual steel stamp for marking the number 6 on metal, plastic, and similar hard surfaces. The character measures 3/32 inch (2.8 millimeters) in size and is machined from steel for consistent impression depth and long service life. The stamp body measures 2.5 inches in length and 0.31 inches in both height and width, with a compact profile that fits standard stamp holders or can be driven by hand with a hammer. Machinists, fabricators, maintenance technicians, and toolroom personnel use these stamps for part identification, date coding, and serial number marking on workpieces.
This stamp is suited for industrial and shop environments where permanent character marking is required. It is sold as a single unit, making it a practical replacement for a worn or missing number from an existing stamp set. Typical applications include stamping identification numbers on metal parts, tooling, fixtures, and equipment components in manufacturing, maintenance, and repair operations.
Designed as an individual replacement character stamp compatible with standard hand stamp sets that accept 3/32 inch machine-made steel stamps.
Secure the workpiece firmly before stamping to prevent movement during impact. Strike the stamp squarely and with even force using a ball-peen or machinist hammer to produce a clean, uniform impression. Inspect the stamp tip before use and replace if the character shows chipping or deformation that would affect mark legibility.
