The BURNDY YSU2W2W is a heavy-walled aluminum service entrance sleeve designed to create a secure, low-resistance connection between service entrance conductors. The sleeve accepts ACSR, aluminum, and copper conductors on both sides, making it well-suited for utility and service entrance work where mixed conductor types are common. It arrives pre-filled with Penetrox joint compound and strip-sealed to protect the connection from oxidation and moisture. A solid internal barrier minimizes galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals. The color-coded orange body allows quick die identification in the field, and the BG or 5/8 die index ensures compatibility with standard compression tooling.

This sleeve is used in residential and light commercial service entrance installations where the neutral strands of Type SE service entrance cable must be terminated or spliced. It handles 4 AWG ACSR on both sides and accepts 4 AWG stranded, 3 AWG stranded, or 2 AWG solid aluminum or copper conductors on both Side A and Side B.
