Burndy BIPC5004/0 is an insulation piercing connector for mechanical splicing and tapping in systems up to 600 V. It accepts run conductors 350–500 kcmil and tap conductors 4–4/0 AWG, is constructed of aluminum, and is rated to 90°C. The connector is UL 486A/486B listed and AL9CU rated for copper/aluminum combinations and uses a 9/16 in socket with 400 in-lb recommended torque.
