The BULLARD 88433 is a Type 1 cut-off wheel engineered for angle grinders and circular saws used in metal cutting applications. Measuring 14 inches in diameter by 1/8 inch thick with a 1-inch arbor bore, this wheel is rated at 5,460 RPM and carries a 24 GRT abrasive grain designation. It is designed to cut faster, cooler, and with less binding than standard wheels, which reduces the power draw on the tool and extends wheel life. The Blazer series construction offers flexibility under stress, making it a practical choice for production cutting environments where consistent performance matters. Fabricators, maintenance technicians, and welding professionals are the primary installers and end users.
This wheel is suited for cutting ductile iron and gray iron in maintenance departments, welding shops, and metal fabrication facilities. Its flexible bond is intended to handle binding conditions that would cause a rigid wheel to pinch or shatter. The 14-inch diameter makes it compatible with large-format angle grinders and abrasive circular saws common in structural and pipe fabrication work. The Type 1 flat profile is the standard geometry for straight cut-off operations as opposed to depressed-center grinding wheels.
Designed for use on angle grinders and abrasive circular saws equipped with the proper Type 1 flange; rated for cutting ductile iron and gray iron. When mounting a Type 1 wheel on a right-angle grinder, use of the correct Type 1 flange set is required.
Installation and wheel changes should be performed by qualified personnel following ANSI B7.1 safety standards for the use, care, and protection of abrasive wheels. Power down and disconnect or lock out the tool before mounting or removing any wheel. Always verify that the tool RPM rating meets or exceeds the wheel RPM rating before operation. Inspect the wheel visually and perform a ring test prior to mounting; never use a wheel that shows cracks, chips, or damage.
