The BULLARD 36724 is a zirconia flap disc designed for aggressive metal grinding and finishing applications. Built to a Type 29 standard profile, the disc seats at an angle that concentrates cutting pressure on the workpiece, allowing faster stock removal compared to flat Type 27 geometry. The 7-inch diameter disc mounts to a 7/8-inch arbor and is rated to a maximum of 8,500 RPM. At 40 grit, it is suited for heavy material removal, weld blending, and surface preparation on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Abrasive fabricators and metal trades rely on zirconia grain for its self-sharpening characteristics, which extend disc life under sustained load.
This flap disc is used in metal fabrication shops, structural steel work, and general welding environments where grinding and surface conditioning are routine tasks. The Type 29 angled profile makes it particularly effective on flat surfaces and for feathering welds flush with base material. It is sold in a box quantity of 10 discs, making it practical for shop stock. Suitable for use with standard 7-inch angle grinders commonly found in fabrication and maintenance settings.
Designed for use with 7-inch angle grinders equipped with a 7/8-inch arbor and a no-load speed rating at or below 8,500 RPM. Intended for grinding and finishing operations on metal substrates.
Flap discs must be installed and replaced by personnel familiar with angle grinder safety procedures. Confirm the grinder's rated no-load speed does not exceed the disc's 8,500 RPM maximum before mounting. Power down and disconnect the grinder from its power source before changing discs. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and discard any disc showing cracks, delamination, or excessive wear; never use a damaged abrasive disc.
