HVAC technicians, contractors, and installers commonly use this type of vent hood to terminate 4-inch duct runs through exterior walls. The hood measures 4 inches in pipe diameter and 11 inches in pipe length, giving it a wide mouth profile that supports strong, unobstructed airflow. The unit arrives fully assembled at 11 inches, saving time on the job site. The hood is manufactured from polypropylene molded plastic with an aluminum tail pipe that is riveted in place for a secure, rattle-free connection. A back-draft flapper is built into the hood to prevent outside air, cold drafts, and moisture from entering the duct system when the appliance is not running.
