The BSC PREFERRED WS601886 is an NSF-certified chrome-plated steel wire shelving starter unit designed for commercial and industrial storage applications. The unit ships complete with four upright posts and four adjustable wire shelves that can be repositioned in 1-inch increments along the posts. Assembly requires no tools, allowing a single technician or facilities worker to have the unit operational in minutes. The chrome-plated steel construction resists corrosion and is well-suited for environments where cleanliness standards are enforced, such as foodservice prep areas, commercial kitchens, and institutional storage rooms.
This starter unit is intended for warehouse, storage, and material-handling environments where maximizing vertical space is a priority. The adjustable shelf spacing makes it adaptable to a wide range of stored goods, from bulk containers to smaller boxed inventory. The unit can be expanded horizontally by pairing it with an add-on unit (stock number WS601886A), and mobility can be added by fitting the posts with swivel casters (stock number WSCASTER, sold separately). Additional wire shelves and accessories are sold separately to allow further customization of the configuration.
Designed to work with BSC PREFERRED add-on unit WS601886A for shelf-run expansion and swivel casters under stock number WSCASTER. This unit is equivalent to part number H-2942-86. Additional wire shelves and accessories designed for this system are sold separately.
Assembly requires no tools and is appropriate for facilities maintenance staff or warehouse personnel. Position the unit on a level surface capable of supporting the intended load before loading shelves. If casters are added, verify that the floor surface and load capacity are compatible with the caster rating. Shelf pins should be fully seated in the post slots before any weight is placed on the shelf.
