The BSC PREFERRED WS481863 is a chrome-plated steel wire shelving starter unit designed for organized, high-density storage in commercial and industrial environments. The unit ships complete with four upright posts and four adjustable wire shelves that assemble without tools in minutes. Shelves adjust in 1-inch increments along the posts, allowing layout changes as storage needs shift. The shelving carries NSF certification, making it appropriate for food-service, janitorial, and regulated storage applications where cleanability and structural integrity standards must be met. Licensed tradespeople, facilities managers, and warehouse personnel are the typical installers.
This unit fits warehouse storage rooms, commercial kitchens, utility rooms, stockrooms, and back-of-house service areas. The open wire design promotes airflow and visibility, reducing dust accumulation and simplifying inventory checks. The starter unit is the foundational configuration; the system is expandable using the compatible add-on unit WS481863A. Mobility can be added by fitting swivel casters (sold separately as WSCASTER). Additional wire shelves and accessories are sold separately and integrate with this unit.
Expands with add-on unit WS481863A. Accepts WSCASTER swivel casters (sold separately). This unit is equivalent to part number H-2941-63. Additional shelves and accessories designed for this wire shelving system are sold separately.
Assembly requires no tools; follow the manufacturer sequence for inserting shelf clips into post sleeves before loading weight onto any shelf. Verify the floor surface is level and capable of supporting the fully loaded unit before placing into service. When adding casters, engage all locking mechanisms before loading shelves. Inspect post feet and shelf clips periodically for deformation under sustained heavy loads.
