The BSC PREFERRED VCIPT0804 is a roll of volatile corrosion inhibitor (VCI) polyethylene film designed for shipping and storing bare metal parts without oil or grease treatment. The film is embedded with a corrosion inhibitor that volatilizes inside a sealed enclosure, forming a protective molecular layer on ferrous and non-ferrous metal surfaces. Technicians and shipping personnel can cut the roll to any required length, then heat-seal both ends to create a custom-fit bag. This approach eliminates the mess and disposal concerns associated with rust-preventive oils while maintaining part integrity during transit or long-term storage.

This VCI film is suited for industrial, trade, and MRO applications where metal components must be protected from oxidation during shipment or warehousing. Typical use cases include packaging machined parts, fittings, valves, and hardware prior to dispatch.
