The BSC PREFERRED VCI24WAX is a Volatile Corrosion Inhibiting paper designed to protect ferrous metal parts and surfaces from rust, corrosion, and oxidation. The chemically treated paper continuously vaporizes, releasing corrosion-inhibiting molecules that form a protective environment around exposed metal. This product is suited for wrapping, covering, or lining packaging that contains ferrous metal components. It is typically used by maintenance technicians, machinists, and trade professionals who need to store or ship metal parts without applying liquid coatings or other wet corrosion inhibitors.
VCI24WAX is applied directly to ferrous metal parts or used to line packaging interiors. The recommended application rate is one square foot of VCI paper per one cubic foot of packaging volume. Complete wrapping of the part provides maximum protection. This product is commonly used in industrial storage, parts shipping, and maintenance supply operations where ferrous metal components must be protected during transit or extended storage periods.
Designed for use with ferrous metal parts and surfaces requiring corrosion protection during storage or shipping. Equivalent to part number S-16684.
Apply by wrapping or covering ferrous metal parts completely with VCI paper prior to packaging or storage. Ensure the enclosed packaging area maintains the recommended ratio of one square foot of VCI paper per one cubic foot of space for effective protection. Store wrapped parts in a sealed package to maintain the inhibiting vapor environment. This product does not require special tools but should be handled in a dry environment to preserve its chemical treatment.
