The BSC PREFERRED T96780B is an anti-slip safety tape designed to reduce the risk of slipping and falling on surfaces exposed to foot traffic. The tape features an 80-grit abrasive sandpaper surface bonded to a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing, allowing it to be applied directly to stairs, ramps, thresholds, and work platforms. It resists moisture and grease, making it suitable for wet or industrial environments. Rated for use in temperatures from -20 degrees F to 150 degrees F, it holds up across seasonal extremes. Facilities maintenance crews, safety compliance personnel, and trade contractors are the typical installers.
This tape is used in residential, commercial, and light industrial settings wherever slip hazards exist. Common applications include stair nosings, loading dock edges, ladder rungs, equipment platforms, and entryways. It is appropriate for both indoor and outdoor installations where surface conditions may be slippery due to water, oils, or other contaminants. Apply only to clean, dry surfaces to ensure full adhesive contact and long-term retention.
Designed as an OEM-style equivalent to part number S-7187. Suitable for general-purpose anti-slip applications on stairs, ramps, platforms, and thresholds in residential and commercial environments.
Surface must be clean, dry, and free of dust, grease, and loose material before application. Press firmly along the full length of the tape to ensure complete adhesive contact and eliminate air pockets. No special tools are required, but a roller or similar flat tool helps ensure even bonding. Allow adequate bond time before the surface is put back into service.
