The BSC PREFERRED T9654002PK is a high-temperature masking tape designed for general-purpose masking in powder coating applications. It features a polyester film backing with a single-coated silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive that holds reliably through oven cycles and removes cleanly without leaving residue behind. Rated for continuous exposure up to 400 degrees F, this tape is suited for professional finishing operations where thermal stability and clean removal are required. It is commonly applied by metal fabricators, powder coaters, and finishing technicians.
This tape is intended for use in powder coating environments where surfaces must be masked before the coating and curing process. The silicone adhesive withstands the elevated temperatures of industrial curing ovens without bonding permanently to the substrate. It is sold in a case quantity of 2 rolls, making it practical for shop use where multiple rolls are needed to cover larger surface areas or to keep a spare on hand during production runs.
Designed as a general-purpose high-temperature masking tape for use in powder coating and similar industrial finishing applications where heat resistance up to 400 degrees F is required.
Apply tape to clean, dry surfaces before the powder coating and curing process. Ensure edges are firmly pressed down to prevent coating bleed-under. Remove tape promptly after the curing cycle while the part is still warm but cool enough to handle safely, as adhesive bond strength can increase if the tape is left on through multiple heat cycles. This product should be applied and removed by personnel familiar with powder coating finishing procedures.
