The BSC PREFERRED T9649498 is a double-sided splicing tape engineered for high-speed converting and printing applications. It features an acrylic adhesive bonded to a densified kraft paper liner, delivering strong wet grab performance for flying splices and core starting operations. The tape performs reliably at process speeds exceeding 2,000 feet per minute and provides excellent UV resistance, making it suitable for demanding industrial environments. Adhesion works across both high and low surface energy plastics. Each case contains 48 rolls.
This tape is primarily used in the printing industry, where consistent, high-speed splicing is critical to maintaining production uptime. It is well suited for web-fed press operations that require a reliable flying splice or core start without halting the line. The UV resistance extends service life in environments with significant light exposure. Industrial converters, press operators, and maintenance technicians working in print and packaging facilities are the typical installers and users of this product.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement equivalent to part number S-17455. Suitable for use in high-speed printing and converting operations requiring double-sided splicing tape with acrylic adhesive.
Application should be performed by press operators or maintenance technicians familiar with web-fed converting equipment. Ensure the substrate surface is clean, dry, and free of dust or contaminants before applying the tape to achieve full adhesion. Follow equipment manufacturer guidelines for splice tension and nip pressure. Store unused rolls in a cool, dry location away from direct UV exposure prior to use.
