The BSC PREFERRED T9640691PK is a high-temperature, woven glass cloth tape designed for electrical insulation and wire splicing in demanding thermal environments. It features a silicone-based, pressure-sensitive adhesive with thermosetting properties that strengthen bond strength as heat increases. Rated for wire insulation up to 3,000 volts, it is suited for use in furnace and oven control wiring, motor leads, and switch insulation. The tape operates across a temperature range of 32 to 392 degrees F. HVAC technicians, electricians, and appliance service professionals install this tape where standard vinyl or rubber tapes would degrade under sustained heat exposure.
This tape is used in residential and commercial applications involving high-ambient-temperature environments.
