The BSC PREFERRED T96403510PKV is a color-coded PVC electrical tape designed for identification of electrical phases, circuits, leads, and piping systems. It features a pressure-sensitive rubber-resin adhesive bonded to a flame-retardant PVC backing. Rated for wire insulation and splicing up to 600 volts, this tape operates across a temperature range of 32 to 221 degrees F. The formulation resists UV rays, abrasion, moisture, alkalis, solvents, and many types of acids. Electricians, HVAC technicians, and plumbers use this tape for phase identification and circuit labeling on both new installs and service work.
This tape is suited for residential and commercial electrical applications where quick visual identification of phases, circuits, and piping systems is required. It is commonly applied during panel work, conduit runs, and mechanical piping installations where color-coding conventions are used to distinguish systems and circuits. Each case contains 10 rolls, making it practical for stocking a service van or job-site supply room.
Designed as a general-purpose electrical identification tape suitable for use in residential and commercial electrical, HVAC, and mechanical piping applications where color-coded tape identification is required.
This tape is typically applied by licensed electricians, HVAC technicians, and plumbers during circuit identification, phase marking, and piping labeling tasks. De-energize circuits and follow all applicable NEC lockout/tagout procedures before applying tape to live electrical components. Surfaces should be clean and dry for proper adhesion. Do not use as a primary insulation wrap in applications exceeding the rated 600-volt limit.
