The BSC PREFERRED T96403510PKN is a color-coded PVC electrical tape designed for identification of electrical phases, circuits, leads, and piping systems. Built with a pressure-sensitive rubber-resin adhesive and a flame-retardant PVC backing, this tape is rated for wire insulation and splicing up to 600 volts. It operates reliably across a temperature range of 32 to 221 degrees F. The tape resists UV exposure, abrasion, moisture, alkalis, solvents, and many acids, making it suitable for demanding job-site conditions. Sold as a case of 10 rolls, it is a standard stocking item for electrical contractors and maintenance technicians who need consistent color-coding across panels, conduit runs, and piping infrastructure.
This tape is used in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical work wherever phase identification, circuit labeling, or conductor marking is required. It is equally applicable to piping system identification in mechanical and plumbing installations. The rubber-resin adhesive provides reliable tack on wire insulation, conduit, and pipe surfaces. Electricians and pipefitters commonly use color-coded tape of this type to comply with NEC phase-color conventions and facility identification standards. The case quantity of 10 supports stocking needs for larger crews or ongoing service contracts.
Designed for use on standard electrical conductors, conduit, and piping surfaces requiring color-coded identification; suitable for applications up to 600 volts per NEC low-voltage wiring practices.
De-energize and lockout/tagout all circuits before applying tape to conductors or splices, in accordance with NFPA 70E safe work practices. Ensure the application surface is clean and dry for maximum adhesion. This tape is applied by hand and requires no special tools; standard electrical hand tools are sufficient for any trimming needed. Follow NEC phase-color identification requirements when using colored tape for phase marking on conductors.
