The BSC PREFERRED T96403510PKB is a color-coded PVC electrical tape designed for identification and insulation work across electrical and piping systems. The tape uses a pressure-sensitive rubber-resin adhesive that bonds firmly to wires, conduit, and pipe surfaces. It is rated for wire insulation and splicing at up to 600 volts and handles a temperature range of 32 to 221 degrees F. The PVC backing is flame retardant and resists UV exposure, abrasion, moisture, alkalis, solvents, and many acids. This case contains 10 rolls, making it a practical stock item for service vans and job sites.
Color-coded tape in this format is used by electricians, HVAC technicians, and plumbers for phase identification, circuit labeling, lead marking, and piping system color-coding. Its dual role as both an identification and insulation tape makes it useful across low-voltage control wiring, line-voltage branch circuits, and mechanical piping applications. The 600-volt rating covers the majority of residential and light commercial wiring scenarios where color-coded tape is required or preferred by the installing trade.
Designed for general-purpose electrical insulation and identification use on conductors and systems rated up to 600 volts, suitable for residential and light commercial applications.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified HVAC and plumbing technicians. Always de-energize circuits and verify with a meter before applying tape to any conductor. Apply tape with consistent tension to ensure full adhesion and avoid air gaps at splices. Follow NEC requirements for insulation ratings and color-coding conventions applicable to your jurisdiction.
