The BSC PREFERRED T95740081PK is an open cell polyurethane foam sealing tape designed to fill gaps on irregular surfaces, seal against air and moisture infiltration, cushion components, and dampen vibrations. The tape features a firm acrylic adhesive backing that delivers high bond strength along with resistance to elevated temperatures and solvents. At 1/8 inch thick, the conformable foam conforms readily to uneven substrates, distributing stress across the bonded area and resisting impact. This tape is commonly installed by HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, and general contractors in applications requiring a reliable foam gasket or sealing solution.
This tape is suited for a wide range of indoor applications as well as exterior installations where the tape is shielded from direct environmental exposure such as UV and standing moisture. Typical use cases include sealing gaps around ductwork, panels, enclosures, pipe penetrations, and mechanical housings. The ideal operating temperature range is 70 degrees F to 100 degrees F, making it appropriate for controlled interior environments and protected exterior conditions. The acrylic adhesive maintains bond integrity under thermal cycling within that range.
Designed as a general-purpose foam sealing tape for use in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building construction applications where gap-filling, cushioning, or vibration dampening is required on irregular surfaces.
Surface should be clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, or loose material before applying the tape for best adhesion. Peel the liner and press the tape firmly into place, ensuring full contact across the bonded area. This tape is intended for use within its rated temperature range; avoid installation in environments that exceed 100 degrees F or subject the tape to direct prolonged UV exposure without protection. No special tools are required, but a roller or squeegee can improve initial bond contact on rough substrates.
