The BSC PREFERRED T9554032 is a 1/32-inch open cell polyurethane foam tape with a firm acrylic adhesive backing, designed to fill gaps on irregular surfaces across a wide range of sealing and mounting applications. The conformable foam construction distributes stress evenly, cushions contact points, dampens vibrations, and resists impact loading. The acrylic adhesive delivers high bond strength along with strong resistance to elevated temperatures and solvents. This tape is suited for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building trade applications where a reliable, compressible seal is required. Ideal operating temperature range is 70 degrees F to 100 degrees F. Sold in a case of 9 rolls.
This tape is intended for indoor use or exterior installations where the tape face will be shielded from direct environmental exposure. Common applications include sealing around ductwork penetrations, cushioning equipment mounts, filling irregular gaps in panels or enclosures, and reducing vibration transfer between components. Its conformable foam construction allows it to conform tightly to uneven or textured surfaces, making it useful in both new construction and retrofit service work across HVAC, electrical, and general mechanical trades.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-purpose foam tape equivalent to part number S-10055, suitable for indoor sealing, cushioning, and vibration-dampening applications across HVAC, electrical, and mechanical trade work.
Surface should be clean, dry, and free of oils or dust before application to ensure full adhesive contact. Apply firm, even pressure across the tape length to activate the acrylic adhesive bond. For exterior applications, the tape must be installed in a location protected from direct UV exposure, moisture, and environmental weathering to maintain adhesive performance. No special tools are required, but installation in the lower end of the ideal temperature range will yield the most consistent bond.
