The BSC PREFERRED T9544008 is an open cell polyurethane foam tape with a firm acrylic adhesive backing, designed to fill gaps on irregular surfaces and perform multiple sealing functions in a single application. At 1/8 inch thickness, the conformable foam distributes stress across uneven contact areas while sealing air and moisture pathways, cushioning components against mechanical shock, and dampening vibrations. The acrylic adhesive delivers high bond strength along with resistance to elevated temperatures and solvents. Licensed tradespeople and maintenance technicians working across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building trades will find this tape suitable for a wide range of fastening and sealing tasks.
This foam tape is well suited to both indoor applications and exterior installs where the tape assembly will be shielded from direct UV exposure and environmental weathering. Typical use cases include sealing around ductwork penetrations, cushioning panel components, gasketing irregular cabinet or enclosure edges, and vibration isolation of equipment mounts. The ideal working temperature range for application is 70 degrees F to 100 degrees F. This product is sold as a case of 12 rolls. The T9544008 is equivalent to part number S-10065.
Designed as a general-purpose open cell foam sealing tape suitable for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building trades applications on irregular or non-uniform surfaces where conformable gasketing or vibration dampening is required.
Surface preparation is critical before applying foam tape - clean and dry the mating surface thoroughly to remove oils, dust, and loose material to ensure full adhesive contact. Apply within the recommended temperature range of 70 degrees F to 100 degrees F for optimal bond development. For exterior installations, ensure the tape is fully protected from direct exposure to UV radiation, standing water, and environmental weathering. Follow applicable building and mechanical codes when using tape as part of a duct sealing or equipment isolation assembly.
