The BSC PREFERRED T9534016 is a premium open cell polyurethane foam tape engineered to fill gaps on irregular surfaces, distribute mechanical stress, seal air and moisture infiltration, cushion contact points, dampen vibrations, and resist impact. The foam carrier measures 1/16 inch thick and is bonded with a firm acrylic adhesive that provides high bond strength along with strong resistance to elevated temperatures and solvents. This tape is supplied in cases of 18 rolls and is well suited for building, HVAC, and general trade applications where a conformable, high-shear tape is needed.
This foam tape is designed for a wide range of indoor applications and for exterior installations where the tape will be shielded from direct weathering. Typical use cases include sealing and cushioning around HVAC panels, ductwork components, equipment housings, cabinet seams, and mechanical assemblies on irregular or uneven mating surfaces. The conformable foam construction allows it to compress and conform across surface inconsistencies without losing adhesive contact. Optimal performance is achieved when applied within an ambient temperature range of 70 degrees F to 100 degrees F.
Designed as an OEM-style equivalent replacement for part number S-6756. Suitable for general trade use across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building materials applications where a conformable foam sealing tape is required.
Surface preparation is critical - clean, dry, and degrease all mating surfaces before application to ensure full adhesive contact. Apply firm, even pressure across the tape length after placement to maximize bond strength. For best results, apply within the recommended temperature range of 70 degrees F to 100 degrees F; avoid application to surfaces that are wet, frosted, or below the minimum service temperature. This tape is a general-trade consumable and does not require licensed installation, but follow applicable local building and mechanical codes when used as part of a sealed or fire-rated assembly.
