The BSC PREFERRED T9462525 is an orange flatback paper tape with a rubber adhesive backing, designed for holding, splicing, and masking applications that demand high adhesion strength, high backing strength, and reliable performance at elevated temperatures. This tape withstands temperatures up to 300 degrees F for up to one hour, making it suitable for short-duration heat exposure in industrial and trade environments. The moisture-resistant construction adds durability in humid conditions. The high-visibility orange color aids in identification during installation and inspection. This tape is typically applied by HVAC technicians, electricians, and general trade professionals who require a dependable temporary bond under demanding conditions.
This tape is intended for indoor holding, splicing, and masking tasks where strong adhesion and heat resistance are required. It is well-suited for use in HVAC ductwork masking, electrical panel work, and light industrial assembly operations. The high-visibility orange color supports workflow accuracy on busy job sites. Note that this product is not recommended for outdoor use or prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as extended UV exposure may cause the adhesive to become extremely difficult to remove. Each case contains 24 rolls.
Designed as an OEM-equivalent replacement for part number S-18846. Suitable for general indoor holding, splicing, and masking applications in trade and light industrial settings where high-temp flatback tape is specified.
Application should be performed by qualified trade professionals in accordance with applicable codes and job-site safety requirements. Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of oil or debris before applying tape for maximum adhesion. Do not apply to outdoor surfaces or areas subject to direct sunlight exposure, as removal may become extremely difficult over time. Remove tape promptly after completing high-temperature operations to avoid adhesive bonding issues.
