The BSC PREFERRED STOB0620 is an oil treated paperboard stencil stock used for cutting clean, accurate characters with stenciling machines and hand-held cutting tools. The oil treatment serves two purposes: it prevents ink from bleeding through the board during marking, and it lubricates the cutting punches each time a character is cut, which reduces punch wear and extends the service life of the stencil machine. At 0.015 inches thick, the board holds its shape under repeated use without tearing or pulling at cut edges. This product is equivalent to part number S-1041.
This stencil board is suited for industrial and commercial marking applications where legible, repeatable stenciling is required on flat or curved surfaces. It is commonly used in shipping, warehousing, manufacturing, and packaging operations. The board is designed to be cut with the grain to maintain rigidity through the stenciling process. Sold as a case of 785 boards, it supports high-volume operations where stencil stock is consumed regularly.
Designed as a replacement equivalent to part number S-1041. Suitable for use with standard stencil cutting machines that accept 0.015 inch paperboard stock.
Cut the stencil board with the grain to maintain rigidity and prevent distortion at cut edges. When using a mechanical stencil cutting machine, follow the equipment manufacturer's feed and alignment guidelines to ensure accurate character cutouts. Store boards flat in a dry environment to prevent warping or moisture absorption that could affect ink performance.
