The BSC PREFERRED SS8230LR2 is a double compartment scullery sink built for high-volume commercial kitchens, sculleries, and institutional food service operations. Constructed from 14-gauge Type 304 stainless steel with square corner welded construction, this sink measures 78 inches in overall length and features two individual bowls, each 15 inches long, 24 inches wide, and 14 inches deep. The channel rim design includes a 2-inch apron to reduce spillover, and both compartments are pitched to promote active drainage toward the 3-1/2-inch centered drain openings. An integrated drainboard and full-length 8-inch backsplash with a 45-degree slope complete the layout, reducing wall splatter and supporting sanitation standards in fast-paced environments. Licensed plumbers and commercial kitchen installers are the typical tradespeople who specify and set this fixture.
The SS8230LR2 is suited for commercial kitchens, restaurant sculleries, school cafeterias, healthcare facilities, and public food service operations where continuous ware-washing and cookware handling demand a durable, oversized sink footprint. The two deep bowls handle large stockpots, sheet pans, and high-volume utensil washing. The integrated drainboard provides staging space for clean or soiled ware. Adjustable tubular legs with 1-5/8-inch outer diameter and bullet-shaped feet allow height adjustment of up to 1 inch, accommodating minor floor irregularities common in older commercial kitchen installations.
Designed as a commercial-grade scullery sink for use in professional kitchen and institutional plumbing installations requiring a double-compartment, drainboard-equipped stainless steel fixture.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and verify drain rough-in locations before setting the sink. Confirm floor levelness prior to final leg adjustment, as the bullet feet provide limited compensation range. Do not use abrasive cleaners or steel wool on the stainless steel surface, as these will compromise the finish and increase corrosion risk over time.
