The BSC PREFERRED SS8136R2 is a heavy-duty stainless steel scullery sink built for commercial and institutional environments where high-volume washing and food prep demand a durable, sanitary fixture. Constructed from 14-gauge Type 304 stainless steel with a satin finish, it features a single compartment measuring 36 inches long by 24 inches wide by 14 inches deep, paired with an integrated drainboard for drying and prep work alongside the basin. The channel rim includes a 2-inch apron to reduce spills, and the full-length 8-inch backsplash is sloped at 45 degrees to resist grime buildup. Licensed plumbers and commercial kitchen installers are the primary trades for this fixture.
This sink is suited for commercial kitchens, food prep stations, cleaning stations, classrooms, office buildings, and healthcare facilities. The drainboard and sink compartment are both pitched for positive drainage, preventing water from pooling. A centered 3.5-inch drain opening supports efficient wastewater flow. The unit ships as a complete assembly with four stainless steel adjustable tubular legs and adjustable bullet-shaped feet, allowing height to be set at the point of installation. Two faucet holes are pre-punched, accommodating a range of faucet configurations for various tap setups.
Designed for use in commercial kitchens, institutional food service areas, healthcare facilities, and other high-traffic environments requiring a single-compartment scullery sink with integrated drainboard. Compatible with standard 3.5-inch commercial drain fittings and two-hole faucet configurations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the applicable International Plumbing Code (IPC) requirements. Shut off the water supply and verify drain rough-in location before setting the sink. Leg height should be adjusted and locked before connecting drain and supply lines. At 121 pounds, two-person handling is recommended during positioning to avoid injury or surface damage.
