The BSC PREFERRED SS34029HT is a heavy-duty steel strapping coil designed to secure and protect large, heavy shipments during transport and storage. Each coil is painted and waxed to resist corrosion and reduce friction during tensioning, which extends tool life and improves strap feed through automated and manual strapping equipment. The oscillated winding pattern allows the strap to pay off smoothly without tangling, making it well-suited for high-volume strapping operations. At approximately 100 pounds per coil, this product delivers substantial run length per unit, reducing change-over frequency on busy packing lines.
This steel strapping coil is used in industrial and commercial shipping environments where standard polyester or polypropylene strapping lacks the tensile strength needed for the load. Typical applications include securing lumber, steel, pipe bundles, palletized goods, and heavy machinery components. It is commonly installed on skid-mounted strapping machines, tensioners, and sealers in warehouses, distribution centers, and manufacturing facilities. Coils are sold individually and arrive as part of a 12-coil-per-skid configuration for bulk procurement.
This product is equivalent to part number S-6060. Designed as a direct replacement coil for use with standard steel strapping tensioners, sealers, and automated strapping machines that accept oscillated steel strap coils.
Steel strapping should be installed by personnel familiar with strapping equipment operation and applicable load securement guidelines. Always wear cut-resistant gloves when handling steel strap, as cut edges are sharp. Ensure the strapping machine or tensioner is powered down and de-tensioned before loading a new coil. Follow the equipment manufacturer's coil-loading procedure to maintain proper strap alignment and feed tension.
