The BSC PREFERRED SPP252R is a plastic strap guard designed to protect packaged shipments from damage caused by strapping during transit and storage. The ribbed channel design locks the strapping in place, preventing lateral movement that can cut into box edges, corrugate, or product surfaces. Made from strong, durable plastic, these guards are suitable for use with both steel and poly strapping applications. Licensed packaging professionals and shipping dock personnel install these as a standard protective measure on palletized or bundled freight. The SPP252R is reusable, reducing per-unit cost over time in high-volume shipping environments.
These strap guards are used across industrial, commercial, and distribution shipping operations wherever strapping is applied directly to boxes, cartons, or palletized loads. They are positioned at corners or edges where strapping contact would otherwise concentrate pressure and cause surface damage. Sold in cases of 1000 units, the SPP252R suits high-throughput packaging lines and fulfillment operations that require consistent edge protection on outbound freight.
Designed for use with standard steel and poly strapping. Equivalent to part number S-765. Suitable for general-purpose edge and corner protection on cartons, boxes, and palletized loads.
Strap guards are placed at contact points between strapping and the package surface before the strap is tensioned and sealed. No tools or special equipment are required for placement. Ensure the ribbed channel is oriented to capture the strap fully before applying tension. Guards may be collected and reused after shipments are received and unpacked.
