The BSC PREFERRED SHWT75 is a bi-directional, vertical-response impact indicator designed to detect and visually flag rough handling of packaged goods during transit or storage. When a qualifying impact event occurs, the device face turns bright red, providing a clear, immediate visual alert that the shipment may have been mishandled. Each unit ships with a peel-and-stick adhesive liner for fast activation. The indicator measures 1.67 x 1.67 inches and is sold in cases of 50 units. Each device carries a unique serial number to support tamper-proof chain-of-custody tracking. Packaging and shipping professionals apply these indicators to outbound freight, equipment, and fragile goods.
The SHWT75 is suited for use on packaged equipment, electronics, industrial components, and any freight where rough handling documentation is required. The compact form factor fits on small parcels as well as large palletized shipments. An optional 3.75 x 3.75 inch label is available to increase indicator visibility on larger packages. Companion labels SHWCL, sold separately, instruct receiving personnel on proper procedures when a triggered indicator is found. Alert Tape SHWAT, also sold separately, signals to handlers that the shipment is being monitored for impact events.
The SHWT75 is equivalent to part number NOT2. It is designed for use on any packaged shipment requiring impact monitoring and is compatible with companion label SHWCL and Alert Tape SHWAT, both sold separately.
Packaging and shipping personnel apply the SHWT75 by peeling the adhesive liner and pressing the indicator firmly onto a clean, dry package surface before dispatch. Activate immediately before sealing the shipment to preserve the indicator baseline state. Do not apply over rough, dusty, or wet surfaces, as adhesion failure may produce false readings. Receiving staff should inspect indicators before breaking the outer seal and document any triggered devices per internal receiving procedures.
