The BSC PREFERRED SHWT37 is a bi-directional, vertical-response impact indicator designed to detect and visually flag mishandling of products during transit or storage. When the unit experiences a qualifying impact, the indicator turns bright red, providing an immediate, unmistakable signal that a shipment may have been dropped, struck, or roughly handled. Each indicator measures 1.67 x 1.67 inches and activates by removing the adhesive liner for application to a package or pallet. An optional companion label measuring 3.75 x 3.75 inches is available for increased visibility at the point of inspection. Each unit carries a unique serial number to support tamper-proof tracking and chain-of-custody documentation. Sold in a case of 50.
The SHWT37 is suited for use in commercial shipping, warehouse distribution, and storage environments where fragile, sensitive, or high-value goods require mishandling documentation. It applies to any package, carton, or pallet and is commonly used by logistics coordinators, receiving teams, and quality control personnel. Companion labels SHWCL, sold separately, communicate proper handling procedures to receivers when a triggered indicator is found. Alert Tape SHWAT, also sold separately, provides an additional visible warning that a shipment is being monitored for impact events.
Designed as a surface-applied impact indicator compatible with standard corrugated cartons, pallets, and rigid packaging used in commercial shipping and warehouse storage applications. Equivalent to part number NOT2.
Application requires no special tools - clean the mounting surface, peel the adhesive liner, and press the indicator firmly onto the package or carton. Position the unit in a visible location where receiving personnel can inspect it without opening the shipment. No electrical connections or cutouts are required. Follow facility and carrier guidelines for proper placement on fragile or high-value shipments.
