The BSC PREFERRED QJDIB-MB-010 is a carbide-tipped masonry drill bit engineered for impact drilling applications in concrete, brick, and masonry substrates. At 1/2 inch in diameter and 6 inches in length, this bit is sized for common anchor, fastener, and pass-through holes encountered in commercial and residential construction. The carbide tip extends service life compared to standard steel tips, resisting wear on abrasive materials. A wide flute geometry promotes rapid dust evacuation and heat dissipation, reducing the risk of bit binding or heat-related failure during extended use. This bit is compatible with impact-rated rotary hammer and hammer drill chucks.
The QJDIB-MB-010 is suited for general masonry work including drilling into poured concrete, concrete block, brick, and similar hard masonry materials. Typical applications include setting concrete anchors, running conduit sleeves, installing hangers, and mounting brackets to masonry walls and slabs. It is used by electricians, plumbers, HVAC installers, and general contractors who need a reliable masonry bit for daily field work. The impact-ready design allows use with standard hammer drills operating in hammer mode, making it a practical carry for tool bags on mixed-trade job sites.
Designed as a standard-shank carbide masonry drill bit compatible with 1/2 inch keyed and keyless hammer drill chucks used in typical rotary hammer and hammer drill applications on concrete and masonry.
Installation should be performed by a qualified tradesperson familiar with masonry drilling procedures. Always wear eye protection and a dust mask when drilling into concrete or masonry. Confirm the drill is set to hammer mode before use and ensure the bit shank is fully seated and secured in the chuck. Avoid applying excessive side load to the bit, as carbide tips are brittle and can fracture if levered during drilling.
