The BSC PREFERRED PSR31221 is a drop-in single-bowl kitchen sink constructed from 20-gauge Type 304 stainless steel. It measures 31 inches in length, 22 inches in width, and 7.125 inches in depth, providing a generous work area suited for high-volume residential kitchen use. The rectangular bowl interior measures 28 inches by 16 inches, delivering ample room for washing large cookware. Sound-deadening pads are bonded to the underside of the bowl to reduce vibration and noise during use. Installation follows a standard drop-in method using a U-channel mounting system with interior clip placement, reducing the time spent working under the cabinet.
This sink is designed for residential kitchen installations where a drop-in configuration is specified. It fits a minimum 36-inch base cabinet. The countertop cutout dimension is 30.375 inches by 21.375 inches with a 1.5-inch corner radius, accommodating countertop thicknesses up to 0.75 inches. The center drain is positioned with a 3.5-inch drain opening for direct connection to standard kitchen drain assemblies. It is appropriate for new construction, kitchen remodels, and direct replacement of existing drop-in single-bowl sinks.
Designed as a drop-in replacement or new-install sink for standard residential kitchen base cabinets with a minimum 36-inch width opening and countertop thickness up to 0.75 inches.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. Shut off the water supply and disconnect existing drain and supply lines before removing any existing sink. Use the U-channel mounting clips provided to secure the sink from inside the channel without requiring access beneath the cabinet during clip placement. Verify the countertop cutout dimensions of 30.375 inches by 21.375 inches and confirm the corner radius before cutting to avoid countertop damage.
