The BSC PREFERRED PD1551-AER is a high-heat aerosol spray paint formulated for surfaces exposed to sustained elevated temperatures. Sold in a 12-ounce net weight can, it delivers a dull white finish and is rated to resist heat up to 1,000 degrees F. The MIR (mass-to-reactant) ratio is 1.85. This product is designed for HVAC equipment housings, flue pipes, heat exchangers, boiler jackets, and other metal surfaces where standard paints would fail from thermal degradation. Facilities maintenance technicians, HVAC contractors, and service professionals use this coating for both repair touch-ups and full surface refinishing on high-temperature equipment.
This spray finish is appropriate for residential and light commercial applications involving gas furnaces, boilers, fireplaces, barbecue equipment, and similar metal components that routinely reach high operating temperatures. It is classified under facilities maintenance and painting supplies, making it a practical stock item for service trucks, shops, and facilities maintenance programs. The dull white finish blends with common HVAC equipment aesthetics. Minimum order quantity is 6 units per order.
Designed for use on bare or previously painted metal surfaces that are subject to high-temperature exposure, including furnace housings, boiler jackets, flue pipes, and heat-resistant metal components in residential and light commercial mechanical systems.
Surface preparation is critical — clean the target surface of grease, rust, and loose paint before application. Allow the surface to reach ambient temperature before spraying; do not apply to a hot surface. Ensure adequate ventilation during application, as aerosol paints produce vapors that require airflow per local safety codes. Allow full cure time before returning the equipment to service or exposing the coating to heat.
