The BSC PREFERRED LRAD1517552 is a single-bowl drop-in kitchen sink constructed from 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel, designed for residential and light commercial kitchen installations. The sink measures 15 inches by 17.5 inches overall with a square bowl interior of 12 inches by 12 inches and a depth of 5.5 inches. A U-channel mounting system simplifies drop-in installation, reducing time spent working beneath the cabinet deck. Sound guard technology with heavy-duty undercoating pads dampens basin noise during water flow and dishwashing. The lustrous grain finish resists everyday scratches and diffuses light to maintain a clean appearance with routine wiping. Licensed plumbers and experienced DIYers handle this installation type.
This sink fits residential kitchens, prep stations, and utility areas where a compact single-bowl layout is preferred. The ADA-compliant design supports universal accessibility requirements, making it appropriate for renovation projects subject to accessibility codes. The two faucet holes accommodate standard deck-mount faucet configurations. A minimum cabinet opening of 18 inches is required for proper fit. The 3.5-inch drain opening is compatible with standard basket strainer assemblies. The sink ships at 4.75 pounds net weight and is manufactured in the USA.
Designed as a drop-in replacement or new-install sink for standard kitchen cabinet openings with a minimum width of 18 inches. Compatible with standard 3.5-inch basket strainer drain assemblies and deck-mount faucets sized for two-hole configurations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified tradesperson in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes. Shut off the water supply and disconnect existing drain and supply lines before beginning work. Apply a continuous bead of plumber's putty or silicone sealant around the underside of the sink rim before setting into the countertop opening. Secure the U-channel mounting clips evenly and hand-tighten before final torque to avoid distorting the rim seal.
