The BSC PREFERRED LRAD1316653 is a single-bowl, drop-in stainless steel kitchen sink built for demanding residential and light commercial kitchen environments. Constructed from 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel, it delivers long-term corrosion resistance and structural rigidity under daily use. The sink measures 13 inches x 16 inches x 6.5 inches and weighs 4.5 pounds. Sound guard technology with bottom-only pads reduces noise from running water and impact, keeping the workspace quieter. The lustrous grain finish distributes light evenly and resists visible surface wear over time. Installation uses a drop-in U-channel mounting system compatible with countertops up to 0.75 inches thick.
This sink is suited for residential kitchens, prep areas, and laundry rooms where ADA-compliant accessibility is required. The square single-bowl configuration provides an unobstructed washing and prep area. A minimum cabinet width of 18 inches is required for installation. The 3.5-inch drain opening and three faucet holes support a range of faucet configurations, giving installers flexibility in plumbing layout. Included mounting hardware simplifies rough-in and reduces time spent working beneath the counter. The sink is manufactured in the USA and carries an ADA-compliant design designation, making it appropriate for accessible kitchen builds and remodels.
Designed for drop-in installation in countertops up to 0.75 inches thick with a minimum cabinet width of 18 inches. Compatible with standard 3.5-inch kitchen drain assemblies and accepts most deck-mount faucets installed in one of three pre-drilled faucet holes.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified tradesperson following local IPC plumbing code requirements. Shut off the water supply and disconnect existing drain and supply lines before removing any existing sink. The drop-in design requires cutting a countertop opening to the manufacturer template dimensions and sealing the sink flange with a compatible silicone or plumber's putty before securing with the included U-channel hardware. Do not overtighten mounting clips, as this can distort the sink rim or countertop surface.
