The BSC PREFERRED LR29181 is an 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel double bowl drop-in kitchen sink designed for residential kitchen installations. Each of the two equal square bowls measures 12 inches by 12 inches with a 7.5-inch depth, providing ample capacity for washing, soaking, rinsing, and drying simultaneously. The overall sink dimensions are 29 inches long by 18 inches wide by 7.625 inches deep. Straight sidewalls and a flat bottom maximize usable interior space, making it practical for large cookware. Sound-deadening pads are bonded to the underside to reduce basin noise during use. This sink is manufactured in the USA.
This sink is suited for residential kitchen remodels and new construction where a drop-in double bowl configuration is specified. The drop-in mounting style seats the sink into a countertop cutout and is secured from below using U-channel mounting clips. A minimum base cabinet width of 33 inches is required to accommodate the sink body. The single faucet hole configuration limits deck-mounted faucet options to single-hole or escutcheon-plate setups. Drain openings measure 3.5 inches, compatible with standard kitchen basket strainers. Plumbers and finish carpenters typically handle installation during the final stage of a kitchen build-out or renovation.
Designed as a drop-in replacement or new-install sink for residential kitchens with a minimum 33-inch base cabinet. Requires a countertop cutout sized to the sink body dimensions of 29 inches by 18 inches.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified tradesperson. Shut off the water supply and disconnect existing drain and supply lines before removing any existing sink. The countertop cutout must be sealed with a continuous bead of silicone sealant around the rim flange before dropping the sink into position. Secure the sink from below using the provided U-channel clips and tighten evenly to prevent distortion of the rim seal. Verify drain alignment and test all connections for leaks before returning the system to service.
