The BSC PREFERRED LR17221-CU is a 17 x 22 inch drop-in single bowl sink crafted from CuVerro Antimicrobial Copper. The copper material is registered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and continuously neutralizes over 99.9% of bacteria within two hours of contact. Bowl dimensions measure 13.5 x 16 inches with a depth of 7.5 inches, providing enough capacity for soaking and washing tasks. A center drain with a 3.5-inch opening handles drainage efficiently. The scratch-resistant surface maintains its finish under heavy daily use, and deep scratches can be repaired if needed. This sink is suited for plumbers and skilled tradespeople installing kitchen or medical-facility fixtures.
This sink is designed for drop-in installation in residential kitchens, commercial kitchens, hospitals, and medical facilities where surface hygiene is a priority. The minimum cabinet size required is 21 inches, and the sink accommodates countertops up to 0.75 inches thick. Countertop cutout dimensions are 16-3/8 x 21-3/8 inches. The u-channel mounting system includes pre-placed mounting clips and all required hardware, simplifying installation into standard countertop openings. Sound-deadening pads on the underside of the bowl reduce noise and vibration during use.
Designed for drop-in installation in countertops up to 0.75 inches thick, requiring a minimum cabinet width of 21 inches and a countertop cutout of 16-3/8 x 21-3/8 inches. Suitable for residential and commercial applications including kitchens, hospitals, and medical facilities.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code where applicable. Shut off the water supply and disconnect any existing drain connections before beginning the cutout or sink removal. Verify countertop thickness does not exceed 0.75 inches and that cabinet width meets the 21-inch minimum before cutting the countertop opening. All included mounting hardware should be used as supplied; do not overtighten mounting clips, as copper is softer than stainless steel and can deform under excessive clamping force.
