The BSC PREFERRED ILR5422DD2 is a drop-in stainless steel kitchen sink featuring a single bowl layout paired with an integrated drainboard. Built from 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel, the sink measures 54 inches in length, 22 inches in width, and 7.625 inches in depth. The bowl itself measures 22 inches long by 16 inches wide, giving plenty of room for large pots and sheet pans. Straight sidewalls and a flat bottom maximize usable interior volume. A scratch-resistant lustrous finish and sound-deadening pads complete the package. This sink is installed by licensed plumbers in residential kitchens, commercial prep areas, laundry rooms, and bar setups.
The ILR5422DD2 suits drop-in installations where a U-channel rim design is used. Mounting clips come pre-placed inside the channel, simplifying the drop-in process and reducing setup time on the job. The integrated drainboard channels excess water back into the bowl, keeping the surrounding counter surface dry and reducing clutter during food prep and clean-up. The 3.5-inch drain opening provides efficient gravity drainage and accepts standard basket strainer assemblies. This sink is manufactured in the USA and is appropriate for residential kitchens, commercial light-duty applications, bar areas, and laundry rooms.
Designed for drop-in installation in standard countertop cutouts accommodating a 54-inch by 22-inch sink. Suitable for residential kitchens, commercial light-duty prep areas, bar rooms, and laundry applications where a single-bowl sink with integrated drainboard is required.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber following applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Power down any in-sink disposal or related electrical circuits before beginning work. Apply a continuous bead of silicone sealant around the countertop cutout perimeter before seating the rim, then secure mounting clips evenly from below to achieve a watertight seal. Do not overtighten mounting clips on stone or tile countertops, as uneven clamping force can crack the substrate.
