The BSC PREFERRED GECR25214 is a single-bowl drop-in kitchen sink constructed from 20-gauge Type 304 stainless steel. It measures 25 inches in length, 21.25 inches in width, and 5.375 inches in depth. The bowl interior measures 21 inches in length and 15.75 inches in width, providing a large, unobstructed wash area. A rear-centered drain placement shifts the drain trap toward the back of the cabinet, freeing up under-sink storage space for larger items. Four pre-drilled faucet holes allow flexible faucet and accessory configurations. Sound-deadening pads are factory-applied to the underside to reduce vibration and basin noise during use. This sink is manufactured in the USA and meets ADA accessibility standards.
The GECR25214 is suited for residential kitchen installations where a drop-in configuration is required. It installs using the U-channel method with mounting clips positioned under the rim, which simplifies the deck cutout process and reduces hardware clutter below the countertop. The 3.5-inch drain opening accepts standard garbage disposal flanges and basket strainer assemblies. A minimum cabinet width of 30 inches is required for proper fit. This sink is typically installed by a licensed plumber during kitchen remodels or new construction and is compatible with standard countertop materials including laminate, solid surface, and tile.
Designed as a drop-in replacement or new-installation sink for residential kitchens requiring a single-bowl stainless steel unit. Requires a minimum cabinet width of 30 inches. The 3.5-inch drain opening is compatible with standard garbage disposal flanges and basket strainer assemblies.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and disconnect any existing drain or supply lines before beginning work. The U-channel mounting system uses under-counter clips to secure the rim to the countertop deck; apply a bead of silicone sealant around the cutout perimeter before setting the sink to ensure a watertight seal. Do not overtighten mounting clips, as this can distort the sink rim or damage the countertop material.
